Guest guest
Hello, I hope everyone and their children are doing well. I just wanted to ask a quick question. All of a sudden, out of blue, Christian has been pulling his clubfoot out of the shoes about 4-5 times a night for the past week or so. It is probably just the age right? Guest guest
Ah ha! That is kind of what I was thinking. His feet do appear longer and thinner than before. I'll bet that is why my little Houdini is showing off his new trick. It is no joy getting those shoes on and then when he pulls it out as soon as I finish tying it....ugh! its enough to drive you crazy! 2 more years...that is what I keep telling myself...just 2 more years with these shoes. Thanks Re: 21 months and pulling out of the shoes all of a sudden My thoughts exactly, that's the most common cause for them starting to slip out of the shoes when they were fine previously. I have another idea too - it could be growing feet (I know you're thinking " if his feet are growing wouldn't that make the shoes tighter? " , just bear with me here, lol) - if Christian's feet are starting to grow and lose baby fat, i.e. slim down, could be the shoes need to be tighter (also straps could be stretching), or he may need a narrower shoe. Also, are the straps through the bottom slot on both sides? You may try altering this configuration (putting in top slot if they are already in the bottom, putting in top slot on one side and bottom on the other, etc.) to see if it will help get the strap any tighter. Guest guest
, you've probably thought of this already, but sometimes when they get older, and start slipping out of the shoes, it's because they've grown and the bar needs to be widened. if the feet are too close together it becomes easier for the feet to get out. has it been widened recently? just a thought.. i'm sure you'll get some other suggestions .. and Claire age 5 > > Hello, > > > > I hope everyone and their children are doing well. Guest guest
, One other thing you might try is taking the tongues out. I know a couple other moms do this and I think it helps get them on tighter. Just keep thinking...two more years, two more years..., then soon it will be just a year and a half, just a year and a half...and so on! Keep us posted! allison > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > > > > > > > I hope everyone and their children are doing well. I just wanted > > to ask a > > > quick question. Guest guest
This is around the time started pulling his feet out too, but it was because he learned to untie the knots and loosen the laces. We tried several things, but the one that helped the most was getting the pad put in the heel. He can still untie the laces, but his foot doesn't slip out. and 11/10/03 bilateral cf dbb14/7 > > Hello, > > > > I hope everyone and their children are doing well. Guest guest
was doing this with his first pair when he was 6 months old. He would smile the whole time to like he knew what he was doing. He would work for a long time to get them off. We got him a bigger pair of shoes, so his toes didn't hang over quite as much. He stopped doing it after that. He did try for awhile, but then figured out we had outsmarted him. I don't know if this will help you or not. However, when they are determined to do something, there isn't much that can stop them. I am sure it will pass in time. , almost 1 21 months and pulling out of the shoes all of a sudden Hello, I hope everyone and their children are doing well. I just wanted to ask a quick question.
