I will be keeping extra good thoughts/prayers for you. I am fairly new here but I can't wait for you to come back and post Great Things! Love, Jenn P.S. I know this is scary for you but put your faith in whatever you believe and all will be good. jackpoint_94401 wrote: Just to let you folks know that I will be going in for surgery to place a feeding tube in the unused portion of my stomach, as I am no longer able to swallow, due to the effects of my radiation treatment for tongue base cancer. Dr. Lee, who certainly knows more about post-bariatric anatomy than anyone else around, will be performing the procedure, and it will be an open procedure, not the usual percutaneous punch or even a

mini-lap. Thus, I will be in the hospital for four days. I also suspect that they will be hydrating me by I.V. as well, since I have not been able to eat nor drink almost anything for the last four days. So, I will not be here to post or to read in this group until sometime next week...when I have to also have the mask I use during radiation treatments re-done (I have lost so much weight that it no longer fits well enough to serve as a guide for the computer-targeted radiation), and another session of chemotherapy along with the radiation. So please keep a good thought for me as I try to get through the next three and a half weeks of therapy. Then two to three months of recovery, followed by neck dissection surgery to get what we hope will be the last of the cancer. Good luck to everyone.RandyOrientation 313Surgery 2/2/06 281Current 215

Randy Prayers and thoughts go out to you, I also will be doing the Relay for Life 24 hours starting Friday 28th and a Lumina will be lit for you. You hang in there, these are some very hard times. When you can or if your girlfriend or a family member post to let us know you're okay and home. Randy, You and your family are in my prayers. I'll pray for Dr. Lee to be skillful and gentle. Hi Randy,

You will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers. I haven't been

posting much . . . but whether or not I post, I do keep you in my

prayers. I pray that this this upcoming procedure goes smoothly and

gives you the help that you need. I pray as always for your full and

speedy recovery.

Sending you lots of positive vibrations, good thoughts, healing energy

and anything and everything else I can muster up.

I don't think that we have ever met, but I love your " voice " - the way

you express yourself . Take care of yourself and I'll look forward to

when you're feeling well enough to post again.

All the best,

Kay (in San Leandro)
