Guest guest
I took my husband. I want to take him to my next support group meeting too. The more support you get, the better your success rate will be! Sorry to hear about your mom. Love, Jenn damaris wrote: thanks for the answers to my questions......i will start trying to lose some wt before the orientation.........of course i am still on cloud nine......i asked my best friend to go to orientation........my mom is dead---it hurts even to type it and my dad is in Texas........ Guest guest
I hope your best friend goes with you. I had to go alone. Noone in my family is supportive of the surgery. And my best friend flakes on everything -- so I didn't even ask her to go with me! damaris wrote: thanks for the answers to my questions......i will start trying to lose some wt before the orientation.........of course i am still on cloud nine......i asked my best friend to go to orientation........my mom is dead---it hurts even to type it and my dad is in Texas........ Guest guest
do you think for you it was better alone? the lady on the phone said to bring someone with me......thanks dama > > I went to orientation alone. Guest guest
I think they suggest you bring someone for various reasons...some is for your support person to understand it all, some is that some morbidly obese cannot drive and/or need someone to help them get around, etc. Just FYI: If you bring someone you might not meet anyone who will be mirroring your steps/progress..... I went by myself and met the greatest friend that was 2 weeks behind me. We met 1-2 hours before each meeting and put on our walking shoes and walked for an 1-1/2 hours...and caught up with each other...On rainy days, we walked inside Kaiser and become very well known to all the staff cheering us on.....we are still great friends.... REMEMBER: If you go alone you will not be by yourself unless you choose to.... just a thought...Bdamaris wrote: do you think for you it was better alone? the lady on the phone said to bring someone with me......thanks dama New Yahoo!
