Guest guest
Hi All! Just wanted to share some good news about Livi - haven't been around much lately, just lurk every once in a while. She had her 3 month check up from when she started the p/m fab yesterday- Dr. Schmale was very impressed with the p/m brace results and Olivia's feet are doing great. Her left (more severe foot) was barely hitting neutral when we put her in the shoes, upon Ponseti's recommendation that they would stretch a bit on their own once she started walking. He was right - now it comes up (dorsiflexes) a good 10 degrees! All talk of surgery has been abandoned, and Dr. Schmale asked for the mitchell website to help out some of his other patients who were having a hard time with the Markells. Yay! Now we're in the " maintenance " phase for the next couple years - I feel like we're in the clear! Thank you all on here for all the support up to this point - amazing. Guest guest
Darby, That is so great! I'm glad to hear that Livi is doing so well. Hope you won't be a stranger, keep in touch! How is the baby by the way? > > Hi All! > > Just wanted to share some good news about Livi - haven't been around > much lately, just lurk every once in a while. > > She had her 3 month check up from when she started the p/m fab > yesterday- Dr. Schmale was very impressed with the p/m brace results > and Olivia's feet are doing great. Guest guest
That is great! Too bad they can't order the P/M's directly to Seattle for us and bill insurance .... I wanted to brain Greg (the main orthotist) when he told me the mark-up that they " had " to do for it! Yeah, whatever! Angel Re: Update on Olivia! That is great news Darby! Yay Livi! Guest guest
Yeah, Children's orthotics dept wasn't the most helpful in getting these.... and the mark up was so ridiculous. I can't believe they would do that when it would not require any work on their part other than insurance billing. But whatever, we don't need them anyway! Guest guest
Baby is doing great - she's starting to crawl and eat things off the floor, to my dismay. Livi is in a coloring phase, so has an ample choice of colors to choose from when she's hungry. We just started solids with her yesterday and I'm still nursing. Things are good, just crazily busy! > > > > Hi All! > > > > Just wanted to share some good news about Livi - haven't been around > > much lately, just lurk every once in a while. > > > > She had her 3 month check up from when she started the p/m fab > > yesterday- Dr. Schmale was very impressed with the p/m brace results > > and Olivia's feet are doing great.
