Guest guest
Hi , Hey, it'll be OK, you'll see. All of us had that big fear of the unknown to start out with. Your good news is that you know ahead of time so you have time to plan for treatment and research your options ahead of time Remember knowledge is Power. I hope you won't let this spoil your pregnancy in any way, enjoy this first time experience and once the baby is here you'll be amazed at how non-scary it really is. We're here to help in any way. s. Re: i'm new Hell . I am as well and want to reassure you that everything will be fine. This is very treatable and you need to just reasearch, use the links you can find in the groups page, find a doctor(s) in your area that is certified or at least trained in the Ponseti Method and who sticks to the method and just enjoy your pregnancy. We found out at 27 weeks that our son would have CF in both feet. He is now almost 5 months old and is doing great. I will say the first few months are trying on you but everything will work itself out. Patience and love is what you will need most as you welcome you precious baby! Guest guest
Congratulations !! My granddaughter was just born yesterday, and she has clubfeet. I joined this group as soon as we found out. They all here have certainly been a world of info for us. My dil isn't online, but I share everything I find here, and I know it has been helpful for her to. DeeDee California

Guest guest
+ - we are Australasian clubfooters - Henry had two clubfeet and we had him attended to in NZ, after researching Ponseti - give us a ring if you want to talk, 00 44 , or e-mail - do not worry - from a clubfoot point of view, our son Henry is now 4 and charging around all over the place - the ponseti technique is definitely the way to go - but keep in touch with this group - there are so many useful tips and hints and clues which, amazingly, the doctors and even nurses are not so good at passing on - there is no-one with experience quite like a parent, and the parents on this Group are the Business...! Enjoy your pregnancy - put your toes up, watch tele, and let your husband run around after you (please give him my sympathies...) - regards from > Hello. Guest guest
Welcome. I think the biggest comfort I had when we found out at 20 weeks was finding this board. The best thing about clubfeet is it's not permeanent and your son or daughter can go on to live very healthy and normal lives. Yes, it's scarey and you'll be obsessing over childrens feet until it all sinks in and you've had a chance to get comfortable with it. The best news is that you will get through it and more importantly you'll child only memory of it, more than likely, will be in pictures!!! :-) Hang in there. You've found a great support group here and we'll be with you every step of the way. Hugs, Jenn & Aidan (15 mos, blcf shoes 12/7) amandadaze wrote: Hello. Guest guest
Hi My name is andra (alex) and i live in Melbourne. My son has right clubfoot and is being treated by a Dr o Selber in Royal Children's Hospital. I found out that my son had clubfoot at 20 weeks so I had some time to research the Ponseti technique and doctors. Unfortunately, it has not been easy as the Doctor listed in Ponseti's website ammended the treatment so I had to find a new one. Dr Selber trained with Ponseti and follows the procedure almost 100%. He is the best I could find in Melbourne. My son Luke has just started the Dennis Brown boots and so far it seems OK except for a blister. I hope everything goes well for you and remember that this treatment is the best way for your child. Cheers > > Hello.
