Guest guest
Hi Thanks for the welcome and the congrats on my pregnancy! We are very excited to be expecting our first baby, and like most people I guess, never expected that everything would go any other way than perfectly until he arrived. I have had the best pregnancy, with next to no morning sickness, little weight gain and feeling great, so was quite shocked to learn our baby would have some special challenges to deal with. I have had a few days to digest my most recent scan results now, and while I still feel upset that our little man will be facing some pretty uncomfortable treatment as his welcome to the world, I am grateful to have found this group (and overwhlemed by the kind responses I have received from other members). I now feel that with good advice and treatment, our little fella will be just fine. I have joined the Aussie group you suggested too. Hopefully I will be able to build some relationships with more local families as well ;o)). As you noted in your email, we won't really know to what extent our baby's shortened lower leg will be an issue until he arrives. We are having fortnightly scans over the next couple of months to track the growth in those bones and I am praying that they continue to grow normally from here on (keep your fingers crossed for us). I will also send the results of those scans to Dr Ponsetti as you suggested....I don't think you can have too much information!! Thanks again for your advice.
