Paying out of pocket

We will be heading to Iowa City for a couple of appointments on October 14.

Rose will be having a checkup (she's 6.5) and Grant will have his feet examined

and casted by Dr. Ponseti. I'm assuming the casting, anyway.

I will probably be paying out of pocket. Has anybody else done so? If so, how

much does it cost for an initial appointment and casting? How much does it

cost for a followup with no casting?

I think the casting tech is doing a very good job, and we are seeing progress

in both of Grant's feet now. His right foot is responding much better than his

left, but we are seeing some success. I am mainly going to Dr. Ponseti for

reassurance and because Rose is due for a checkup. Dr. Koop is very interested

in what Dr. Ponseti will have to say about Grant's course of treatment.
