We've been out to see the " Master " once again on our routine check up schedule

every two to three months. However this one was delayed a bit and it seems

we've paid the price. (she's 21 mos and this is her third relapse due to

her very 'complex' feet) is back in casts again. A relapse with her " complex "

feet prompted a corrective cast on her left foot while putting a maintenance one

on her right. We'll have to go back the week of Thanksgiving for another cast

and perhaps a tenotomy and then they aren't sure what they'll do but Dr. M and

Dr. P had a long chat with the two Dr's he was training about her tibia or some

such. She has very loose ligaments on the lateral sides of her feet and they

chatted quickly in and terms I didn't quite comprehend. They all kept feeling

her foot and so on. I was amused at their intensity and so thankful that I knew

the best would be done for her in the end. I think that they will end of

setting her feet at different angles so she can gain some stability with her

right foot in a more normal position while keeping the left out at 90 degrees

again for awhile but we shall see. I asked directly about the probability of

the ATTT and Dr. P said that he didn't believe it was appropriate for her and

said " I don't think she'll need any surgery at all except maybe another tenotomy

on the left " . That was a relief. :)

Dr. P apologized so many times to for having to put her back in casts and

he also noted how strong she is. She kept trying to fight him and actually

split the plaster twice. It was an interesting morning! LOL

I got to meet and spoke briefly to to thank her for bringing

's shoes over to the hospital since I'd forgotten them at the RMH and it

was good to see them. I wish I'd had opportunity for more conversation but it

is hard with a kid on the move and two others along for the ride. Homeschool

makes for interesting adventures for my boys!

A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
