Guest guest
Hello, Help! Our 8-1/2 month old son, (rt. CF), can wear the DBB FAB all day with virtually no problems, but WILL NOT sleep at night. Every time he tries to move, he wakes up. And since he is an extremely active little guy, we are up every 20 minutes or so. I've tried various sized pillows under his lower legs, no pillows, rolling blankets beside him to make him feel more secure - all with no luck. Can anyone help us with any other suggestions on getting him to sleep with it on? We're only 1 month into the 23/7, and are going to pass out from exhaustion soon!! Thanks. Guest guest
Patty- Double check the length of the bar to see if it matches the width of his shoulders. To me, if he has no problems during the day, it sounds like when he lays down, its irritating him. My only thought is when is up during the day-he doesn't notice the discomfort since he is so active. The width of the bar should match the width of his shoulders-this is typically measured bolt to bolt. My son has been in his bar for 1 year and has not needed an adjustment-however, we check him periodically-especially when he starts to wake at night. It may also not be the bar-at 8.5 mo-he may be in the " social " stage of life and may not want to settle down!! Or it quite possibly be that he is teething. Just a couple of ideas. kathleen mom to david bcf fab 12/7 > > Hello, > Help! Our 8-1/2 month old son, (rt. Guest guest
Patty, I agree with Kathleen that you should check into the length of the brace (distance between shoes). How does he sleep for nap-time? Like Kathleen said- it could be a coincidental phase too. Hang in there! & (3-16-00, left clubfoot)
