Guest guest
, My son also had his tenotomy under General Anesthesia. It was a very quick procedure, and he was away from us for a total of about 30 minutes. As soon as he started to wake up they came and got me and I was able to nurse him right away. He nursed to sleep, woke up about 15 minutes later and nursed again. Then slept again. They gave him tylenol w/ codine before we left the hospital and I think I gave him regular infant tylenol 2 more times, once later that day and once the next a.m. After about 24 hours he was back to his usual cheerful self! Hope this helps, sorry so short. --- chenyao120 wrote: > Thank all friends who are willing to share your > feelings and > experiences that encourage us a lot.Our son Isaac is > going to have > Ashilles' tendon cut next Tuesday. Guest guest
My daughter has a tenotomy done under general, and had to stay overnight at the hospital. This is commonly done as an office visit, but the doctor thought that since Sydney's feet were really stiff he could get a better post-tenotomy casting with her asleep. And the $350 does include the bar, additional shoes (as they outgrow them) are only $150. chenyao120 wrote:Thank all friends who are willing to share your feelings and experiences that encourage us a lot.Our son Isaac is going to have Ashilles' tendon cut next Tuesday. Our doctor Amnuay is going to do it in the OR under general anesthesia. From my understanding, this surgery should be a office procedure. I am just wondering if some of your children went through the general anesthesia when they had the tenotomy. By the way,we just contacted the company. They said that the price of a pair of brace is 350$. I assume that would inclue the bar. Thanks to Terasa, the information you shared about the " instruction for brace use " will be a good help, even though we have not reached the point for our baby to wear the brace. Best wishes
