She developed the crease after the tenotomy but not the big toe or a

typical high arch. Her feet apear to have a high arch when the crease

developed but after corection of the crease her feet are basically

pretty flat. She was treated by DR Mosca in Seattle; after diagnosis

by Dr. Ponseti via web pictures. He is very amazing! DR P. I just

thought I'd share because we couldn't see the atypical thing coming.

Even retrospectivly looking at pictures. I don't know if that is

common.

Hi my dear old friend and plantaris buddy. Sadie is a busy girl. We

are still looking for a diagnosis to explain the hypotonia. She goes

to weekly speach therapy an early intervention birth to three program

twice a weak and pt/ot once a week. I have been able to return to

work a little. It is hard to find time to make money when I am taking

Sadie somewhere everyday. She continues to progress forward but at

Sadie speed.

I am forever grateful to this support group and to you and Kia for

your important part in the journey to Sadies perfect feet. The timing

still amazes me. I think Sadie was only a month behind your

struggles. HOw is Kia doing?

Good to catch up

Gabe always had the heel creases; he also had another crease in the

birth too. Having said all this, what is it that classifies any of

these feet atypical (or complex? Is there anything that all of them

is it just ANYfoot that doesn't have the normal clubfoot

to contend with rather than the " fatty " feet, the high arches ,and

the creases. Would it still be atypical -- the fatty tissue alone

would have prevented him form wearing Markell's...

Sadie feet were basically folding in half. This created a deep crease

between the heel and her arch. She required additional casts to

correct this folding. There are many people that could explain this

better I am sure. I can't believe it but the last year has been so

intense with SAdies other isues I have forgotten so many details. I

am so grateful to this group. I don't know what would have to Sadie

feet without the group and DR. Ponseti.

I am so glad to hear that Sadie is progressing (Sadie speed must be

just perfect for her!) Kai is also doing well ... at his pace ;D

He will be exiting the Birth to 3 program and entering the school

district at the end of the month. Like you, we have never been able

to learn the cause of all his issues, but it seems to matter less and

less as we go. Me gets ST every week, and every 6 months Dr Mosca re-

casts him. As new things come up, we take care of them and go on.

I am so happy that Sadie's feet have turned out well. Have faith

that the rest will follow suit.

I don't mean to prod, but did either of you see my last post on this subject...

I'm pretty curious if anyone has the time to answer...

Faith, forgive me for overlooking answering this. I don't have

enough time right at this moment to lay it out, but a bit later

tonight I will see what I can pull together to answer for you what

constitutes comples/atypical.

Hi Faith sorry for the delay. I worked 7am-8pm yesterday with very

needy patients and was unable to read anything. I am happy Angel

answered your questions. She is a wealth of info!!!! I still think

she should be a nurse/MD or something that pays her well for her

educated mind. Kia is a lucky boy.

No problem, it wasn't pressing, I was just curious... Yes, I do appreciate the

time it took her to compile an answer for me/ anyone else who was curious. Maybe

after the holidays I'll have time to look some of this stuff up on my own for a

change...
