Guest guest
Shalom from Israel. Can I please hear from anyone who has gone through treatment for their child for heavy metals? One of my two sons with intestinal permeability/malabsorption (leaky gut) has tested toxic for Uranium, Aluminum, Lead, Tin and Antimony (extreme in Uranium and Antimony). By the way, the other son, younger, does not have any PDD symptoms, yet has extreme gluten intolerance. We are waiting to receive the Great Smokies hair test for him, my husband and I as well (and for peptides tests for my husband and I!). Any of you out there have a normal kid with leaky gut? FYI, the Vitamin A from Cod Liver Oil helped both our kids VERY much (it helped the second kid to practically get rid of his severe stomach symptoms!). Will be grateful, Jo Kaplan tillie@... Guest guest
Jo, this will be of no help, but just wanted to share with you that we just got in our son's hair heavy metals tests and he's very high in uranuim, arsenic, nickel, sodium, potassium, molybdenum, and boron. He's also got very low levels of magnesium, manganese, selenium, germanium. His zinc/Cd ratio was very high. I'll wait and see if the urine test comes out similar before I go completely buggo about all this. I can't figure out where the uranium exposure has come from. Guest guest
Donna, What a small world! My family and I live in Livingston. One of my friends who is chelating with her son found out that uranium is common in the water source of Houston/in the South. My three children (7, 6, and 3) have been GFCF 2 years this month. How long has your child been GFCF? If I can be of any help, please feel free to Email. I buy my flours in Houston's China town area. They have finer grinds of flours at great prices (ie 49cents/lb of white rice and sweet white rice flours, 33 to 49 cents/14 oz of tapioca starch flour, $1.19?/lb of potato starch flour, etc). May I ask who you use as a physician for chelating? We have seen Dr Amy Holmes in Baton Rouge 3 times, but are doing our chelation currently through a dr in Houston. Guest guest
A number of listmates are currently chelating their children for heavy metal toxicity, but it's mostly discussed in other e-groups, such as autism-mercury, abmd, and dramyskids. My son & I started the process last August, and it has restored my health (formerly CFS/FMS) and greatly reduced Aspergers symptoms in my son. In fact, we're currently in a debate with the school district about the level of services he should receive since he is doing so well. Altho chelation initially sounded scary, we have had no severe side- effects. The minor ones we handled with increased dosages of antioxidents. There is much debate about the " proper " chelation protocol. The DAN protocol can be found through the Autism Research Institute (www.autism.org, I think). IMHO it pays to read a lot about the issue, be flexible, and follow the method that works best for your child. > Shalom from Israel. > > Can I please hear from anyone who has gone through treatment > for their child for heavy metals? Guest guest
We are 8 months into heavy metal removal, and have seen tremendous gains. Not so much in language (he already had an extensive vocabulary) BUT in behavior, eye contact, concentration, and just overall being " Alert and with us " Our explanation is that his " soul was returned " and the little boy who used to gaze into nowhere is gone-Shari
