Guest guest
Hi All, I am fairly new to the group. I have been lurking for several weeks. I just wanted to make a couple comments. Awhile back someone asked about PEZ. Pez have adipic acid. I remember reading a blurb in the ANDI newsletter that adipic acid could adversely affect our kids. We tried using them as reinforcers during my sons ABA sessions. He was off the wall stimmy. We took them out and he improved. Pacific Rice Milk: I called awhile back and the rice milk is okay. My son drinks the plain and vanilla. We mix them half and half to cut down on the sugar content. Flatulence: possibly due to soy? My son cannot tolerate soy. Much smelly gas and soft to loose poops. SNT: Our speech therapist told me that there is something in the SNT that doesn't react well with some kids. One day they are fine, the next severe diarrhea and then dehydration. Not sure what it is or if its true. Just wanted to throw it out there. Regards, Doreen Mom to TJ (3 1/2 yr PDD) PS Would be interested to hear about anything on DAN doctors in the Long Island/New York City area.
