Hi, we also, have just recieved our son's first heavy metals test results

today.  We also did a urine test but have not recieved the results back in.

The test was done through Great Plains, and Doctor's Data.  Is there an easy

way to post this so that you guys know what I'm talking about --I read

someone's post about how it was hard to go off just numbers alone.  This page

is color coded in Green, yellow and red.  No levels in the red.  Lots in the

yellow though:  high in arsenic, uranium, and nickel.  Antimony, lead, tin

are in the green almost to the yellow.  Low in the yellow on magnesium,

manganese, selenium, germanium. His zinc/Cd ratio was very high.   He's high

in the yellow on sodium, potassium, molybdenum, boron.

Does anyone know of more sources for uranium?  We've not done any provoking

or chelation and are completely new to this field.  We've been so wrapped up

in trying to heal his gut- without a lot of luck so far, that we've kind of

been lax on the whole heavy metals issues.  I thought you really had to get

the kid healthy before you could go to chelation.  How you do go about

finding a doctor for chelation as well?  All inputs would be welcome.  I know

us very new folks must try the patience of the more experienced been there,

done that of the group.   I wish we were further along in all this than just

getting started with the metals issues.  Maybe we wouldn't feel so panicky

and overwhelmed.  Thank, Donna in Kingwood, TX

You have every right to feel nervous about chelation-its not with out its

effects on the body-but the benifits as I understand out weigh the side

effects, I know there is a group on yahoo specifically set up for chelation

questions. They may have alot more answers for you then here. as for

uranium-someone just posted water as a source of it-that could be the

culprit I know where I am we have high levels of radium in the water-no

wonder I live inbetween to nuculear power stations. So much to worry about

isnt there. Good luck on your chelation . We are just getting around to

looking in to metal testing ourselves.lisaF

>From what I have been reading, the toxic metal issue is just as serious,

if not more dangerous, than the leaky gut. (BTW, my son's heavy

metals are mostly in the yellow zones, with 6 in the red, and antimony

and uranium at the furthest extreme point.) Some of the danger is that

the metals can and do go to the brain, as well as other tissues.
