Pricing, ordering info ect...My 7 week old Daughter just got out of her casts this past week and is now in the older style Markell shoes. We are going to give it some time but she is already developing blisters and I would like to look into this other option for her. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Ted
Guest guest
Hope this helps! http://www.mdorthopaedics.com/ We have had success with the markell's-however, we demanded that they order the newer models-1644 and now they even have a newer model with a hole cut out in the back-i believe the model number is 1645. Have you looked at the tips and tricks document in the file section?? Its under FAB--its a great document in the PDF format with pictures!! take care, kathleen > > Does anyone know of the web site/phone numbers of where I could get > information on the Bars/Shoes? Guest guest
Thank you for your help . They look so much more comfortable than the shoes she is in now. I just called them for some information. Does anyone know of the web site/phone numbers of where I could get > information on the Bars/Shoes? Guest guest
Thank you for tips and tricks info. That will be a big help. I didn't realize there were different models of Markells. We have our follow-up appointment on Monday and I will ask about these different types of shoes. In the meantime, I did call to have the impressions kit sent to me for the s in the event we decide to go that route. Thank you for your help. -Ted > > > > Does anyone know of the web site/phone numbers of where I could get > > information on the Bars/Shoes? Guest guest
Ted- The markell website has information on the shoes that you are currently using as well as a size chart-the website can be found in the links section. Maybe go to your ortho with this information and ask for these newer model shoes. They were designed to be more comfortable since the baby's who were using them were getting younger and younger. Either way-the shoes/brace is an important part of the method-compliance is key so let's get happy feet!! kathleen > > > > > > Does anyone know of the web site/phone numbers of where I could > get > > > information on the Bars/Shoes? Guest guest
Ted, My son Logan had the older model markels-My best advice-Quick get new shoes!!!!!! In a weeks time his feet got terrible blisters that turned into big holes on the back of his feet. We now have the 1644's and absolutely no problems. They are easier to put on. We had wanted the 1645's, which have the hole in the back, however the way the stitching is the dr felt that it would rub on his already sore feet. I called Markel and spoke to a man named who was quite knowledgeable. He was the one who thought we were not measured right and that the shoes we had were 2-3 years old. Also for the blisters, our ped gave us a script for SSD (silver sulfadiazine cream) which worked wonders on his blisters. Good Luck, Re: shoes/bars Ted- The markell website has information on the shoes that you are currently using as well as a size chart-the website can be found in the links section.
