Guest guest
Hi All, Well, today I went for my pre-admission testing at Mt. Sinai for my surgery scheduled for Monday, September 10th. This was originally schedules for last Monday, but my insurance hadn't been approved. Actually, as far as I know it hasn't been approved as of yet, but amazingly, I was able to contact Darryl by phone on thursday. He told me to go ahead to the pre-testing as he had submitted my insurance on Monday and they told him it would take five days to be approved. I assume that he thinks there will be no problems since he told me to go ahead with the testing. The testing itself couldn't have gone smoother. My dh and I left the house at 1030am to make the @2hr trip into nycity.(we live on Long island) My appointment was for 1:30pm. The traffic was lighter than expected for Labor Day weekend, and we got to the hospital by 12:30. The hardest part of the day for mee was walking the block and a half from the parking garage to the hospital. I had to stop 2 or 3 times to catch my breath. (not for long, hopefully!!) I went right to the testing area, filled out some formes and was tqken to meet with someone from the anesthesiology dept. He as very kind and helpful, answering all my questions in detail and making me feel very comfortable. He explained that the anethisiologist who would be assigned to the surgery would not be scheduled until the day before. I could call and find out his name at the same time I was to find out about the time of surgery. Next, a woman came in to take blood and give an ekg. No problems at all. Then I returned to the waiting room, grabbed my dh and went to the next building for a chest xray. we were on the road again by 2:45. On the way home we stopped to eat at Applebee's (MMMM smothered chicken!) then home for a nap. So, kiddies, soon will be my big day! I'm very excited and scared too, but only thinking positive. Please send good thoughts for me on the 10th love, denise in ny surgery 1 week from monday(10 days and counting) Dr. Gagner _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

She was the most loving and gracious soul to ever walk this earth. I consider it my lucky day, and I am so happy it will be yours as well. I will be thinking of you.
