Welcome, The wait may be long but don't fret, take the time to get your

education. My surgery as well as my husbands was done at UCLA...and the

delays were worth the end result. Randy and I are very healthy! We

stayed in this group, went to our classes, found what we needed for

post surgery....and knew quite a bit about how we needed to live after

WLS. Not only that, but it gave us a little more time to lose that

dreaded ten percent! We went in knowing how to do things, not panicked

and unprepared. This is a life changing event in your life, the anxiety

will be more intense as the date gets closer. Trying to rush only adds

to the anxiety. That is not to say that you should not keep your nose

to the grindstone and be tenacious about your progress at Kaiser.

Become a great journal keeper. Know when your appts are, what the next

stage should be, how your lab results are doing, get all the pre-op

requirements completed (Kaiser often drags their feet, and the squeeky

wheel gets the grease). Know the people at Kaiser that you can call

when things are dragging....and remember....be good to yourself.

Take Care!
