Guest guest
Hi, Cat- Glad to see you back! I'd been wondering how things were going with you. I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I hadn't heard that Dr. Li required so much more than the 10%, but I have heard that at SSF they are more likely to set a goal number that is not a strict 10%. Some folks are given more to lose, others less. I just had Lifestyle 3 last week in SSF, and heard that SSF has hired 2 new surgeons who will be starting soon, both with a great deal of experience. It's possible that you'll be reassigned to a different surgeon once they're on board. Cathy C. > > Hey all, > > I'm Cat, and in the South SF program. Had my Orientation last June (2005) and was toodling along with my 10% when I got sidelined by various things (my father passing away from cancer, new health problems that cropped up). So then I find out Dr. Umbach has moved away (who was assigned to be " my " surgeon). Now that Dr. Li is the only one currently left at SSF, and he is *very* conservative with how much weight he wants us to lose (a lot less than the original 10%), I'm one of the new group of bariatric patients starting the Optifast plan for pre-op weight loss, due to my medical conditions that I'm struggling with. Is anyone else here in the program, or has had experience with it before? I'm looking forward to starting it, soon as Kaiser gets the product in... talk about making meal choices simple! :-D > > Other than that, I'm part of a folkloric dance troupe based in Sacramento (currently focusing mainly on North Africa and the Middle East) and I spend way too much time doing historical recreation (SCA and faires). Looking forward to sharing info with others. > > Cheers! > > ~ Cat > > > --------------------------------- > How low will we go? Check out Yahoo!
