Guest guest
Actually I did speak to a rep about this. They called to ask why I had not ordered yet. To make a long story short I had yet to get the nurse on the phone so while I had registered earlier I was waiting to get Yvonne on the phone so that I coould ask her to call in the precription. The rep asked me if I had CF and I told her no but that I was malabsorbtive. The rep then went on into a major tirade about how some doctor in NY was telling all of his patients to order ADEKS from CF services and how they were losing money as a result of this and then how they would not be taking any new patients who did not have CF. She said that since I had registered before this policy went into affect that I would be allowed to order. She also said that if I wanted to order that I had to order atleast a 6 month supply. I did not complain about the 6 month supply because even a six month supply is less than what I was paying for a 2 month supply. She also said that they had some big meeting the week before about how they were going to handle this and said that they were considering discontinuing the service to non-cf patients. I asked her how they lost money and she could not explain how they were losing money. I wouldn`t mind paying extra to keep this service available to non-cf patients. My fingers are crossed that I will still be able to order when the 6 months are up. I think that because I have a 3 year prescription that they will allow me to atleast continue to order until my refills run out on my prescription. What I am having a hard time with is I would like to know how when Scandapharm provides Adeks to them at cost how they are losing money? -- In duodenalswitch@y..., ruisha@a... wrote: > > In a message dated 9/1/01 4:31:46 PM, duodenalswitch@y... writes: > > << Prior to locating the CF site I was spending: > 1.
