Guest guest
As I said before consult with your GP & Surgeon for your individual case, we all have different needs. In general though this is what I have experienced both first hand and with my brother, mind you niether of us was scheduled for surgery. In my brothers case, surgery would have be postponed until that extreme edema was stable. I asked my doctor about the less liquid and he agreed that limiting my intake would be good, ( realizing I drink Tea in very tall mugs all day and night probably at least 20 LOL ) In my beothers case he will drink 3 mugs Tea then coffee then a full jug of juice, then several tins of pop and a tall cafe Mocha and onward. Does this explain or am I now babbling LOL Love and Hugs to all http://phoenixrisng.www6.50megs.com http://ca.geocities.com/phoenixrisngca/blue.html -- Re: Keep liquids to minimum? You must drink liquids, but not to excess, as your tissues are fighting to hold what is already there. I was relating to people who have a cup of something beside them all day. I am one as is my brother who is waiting for a liver transplant (hepC) If the tissues cannot get rid of the water build which is actually toxins that cannot go through the liver and kidneys, you then set yourself up for cystitus (spelling?) very painful, swelling like you have never seen before ( not just your legs) and the color of your skin in severe cases looks like raspberry juice color. I have seen this twice now in my brother and he was hospitalized, the swelling edema actually caused the bridge of his nose to burst from pressure. I was amazed that was the only place. ====================== _________________________________________________________
