Guest guest
Stacee- I don't know if this is any consolation or not, but I can relate! Misery loves company, right?! I have 3 kids, my oldest has cf and is almost 6, the youngest is 8 months old. My older 2 kids had no sleep issues whatsoever when they were babies. Even my cf kid slept fine w/ the brace. My youngest, however, is a terrible sleeper. I am just about at my wits end trying to figure out exactly how to get her to sleep through the night. It's been a long battle, and I never expected to be still fighting it at this point (8 months old). Lately, as I've been up with her for long periods of time at night, I've thought about the FAB and am thankful that my little one isn't wearing it *only* because I don't have to wonder if it's causing her sleep issues. I feel for all of the parents whose little ones are having sleep issues and wearing the brace because I can really understand how it would be easy to think that that device is causing the problems. I wish I had that " easy button " that is on those tv commercials, because I could use one in the wee hours of the morning. Just wanted you to know that there are lots of us yawning with you! I hope that is sleeping better for you soon! & (3-16-00, left clubfoot)
Guest guest
It does give some consolation... Thanks!! I was just discussing with the hubby that I really don't think it's the brace, because his really screwy sleep started just before the tenotomy. Prior to that, he actually had a nice little predictable schedule...sort of. Then for no apparent reason, it ended. My older two kids learned to sleep through the night on their own by the time they were 6 and 9 months, but they didn't have the clubfoot problem, nor did they seem to have anywhere near as much trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep as does and has since birth. I quite honestly cannot tell if he's hungry or not, and that is a big factor in whether or not to let him cry in the middle of the night! I am actually ready to go to home depot or wherever I can to buy as much acoustical tile as I can manage!! I would give all of my limbs to have an " Easy " button!!! :-) Stacee > > Stacee- > I don't know if this is any consolation or not, but I can relate! > Misery loves company, right?!
