I was approached by a gentleman who said he had Plum Sarc. He spoke highly about

a supplement that improved his condition. He said it freed the free radicals

from his system and boosted his immune system and his energy level. He did not

seem to understand that at least for me that this is a bad thing.

Some of you know me by now and have read some of my posts. But let me

explain my experiences with supplement. While in the military I did Power

Lifting Meets. and I used a varity of supplements and viatmins to support my

training. I got real konowledgeable about supplements.

Ok after I was first diagnosed with Neurosarcoidosis did not have too moch

knowledge of it and I got real mad about the side effects of Prednisone use. So

when the Doctors told me it was receeding I convince them to wean me off

prednisone fast. I had gained approx 60 lbs. that first time and was really

upset abot the gain. So I worked my back side off to get the weight gain off my

body. Used all kind of supplements to support my work outs. Well I succeeded I

got my weight down to 198 Lbs from 250+. Was healthy was strong my immune system

was working great. So good was my immune system wotrking that it caused the

Neurosarcoidosis to flare up stronger then before and take me out. And me take

me out, friends told that when I collasped it appeared as some one had cut my

strings or I had been shot. I remmeber now how scary that it was for more then

60 seconds I could not breath and I could move a muscle. That was 13 months or

so ago.

So with all that explained and said. It is for me at least a bad thing to

improve or supercharge my immune system. I hate and love Prednisone but I will

not get off it until I find something better to take its place. I am working on

that right now. Trying Humira right now and will get the word the end of this

month if it is working and if so we will start a slow and measure weaning of

prednisone.

No I do take a multivioatmin, B-12 and Folic Acid. I am fighting to get

healthy and back to work. But I want to make sure it is for good and not like

last time. My fellow workers and employer deserve better then last time I came

back onlty for a month and half. I want to go back to work and willing to fight

for it.

I do wish it was that simple. I wish I just punch out or perform abody throw

on sarcoidosis. But since I can do this. I have done this. I found the best

doctors with sarcoidosis experience and added them to me group. This time I will

and have listen to my Doctors and and follow thier instructions.... this time.

So in short I say any supplements design to in part or whole to improve

your immune system is one should not use. And I will not use at this time.
