Guest guest
<< I am also using an Weil CD called Sound Body, Sound Mind which is basically music and tones to help put you in a deep meditative state >> >Ok, so does this really work? Do the music and tones put you in a deep >meditative state? Or do you just fall asleep? I am tempted to get this >tape, but I would really like to know if it is worth buying. >Carole " Hi Carole! I am no expert, and I don't want to copy out all that Weil has to say-- and I sure don't have an EEG to check if I am in a " theta " state when using the thing. He says it doesn't matter if you sleep, your brain waves slow down in response to the music and tones. If I use it when I am not ready to sleep, I do stay more or less aware, and I do feel like I am in a deep relaxed meditation-- I can do imagery and affirmations that I have decided on before hand. I think it is worth it. In fact I have an extra CD, my brother gave me a CD player and some discs after the first surgery, and I more or less ignored them until recently. By then, I had ordered the CD from Amazon. Amazingly, my brother had already bought me a copy. So if you want, I can send it along for what I paid for it-- I will even leave the postage off-- $22.77 was the total. It is a 2 CD set, one has discussion of the process and one has the actual music/tone thing.
