Why can't you just say you agree and let it go at that? Is there some reason you have to go on and on about it being poison? Is it the best food available? No, of course not.. But as a treat occasionally, we do indulge, and we haven't had any issues with my son when he does get them. He has so few 'normal' foods that he can share with his sister, I am not going to take this away from him as long as he continues to do fine with them. Guest guest
This seems like a perfect time for a little friendly reminder, especially since there are many new members. Please, everyone, word your responses carefully. All of our lives have been made a bit more trying due to implementing a GFCF diet for our children, ourselves, or loved ones. Some children react to ingredients that others are fine with. I am sure that there are probably vegetarians out there as well in our group of over 2000. But I don't expect them to tell us that if our children, etc. get meat, then they are eating " poison " . Some of us do chemicals, some do not. That is a very personal choice. Some do phenols, some do not. Some do corn, some do not. But just remember, that just because you have chosen your path, do not condem others for their path. The purpose of this list is not to make others feel guilty for their choices, but to support. brought up good points, but to take it beyond that is way over the top. Let's be nice, and be supportive. I truly doubt anyone here is poisoning their child. Guest guest
I am just as sorry you got nasty replies as I was when I saw your post. Let's be SUPPORTIVE, ok? If you are really curious, no, I am not guilty for giving my children McD fries. I just don't like nasty posts from anyone. Hope it can stop here. -Phyllis Re: McD's Fries - Clarified Ingredient List > > , > As I stated to Wendi, that was MY OPINION, and I still feel that > way. Guest guest
I thought the argument was over how people should talk to other people and taking responsibility for one's actions. I am sorry you are having a rough time, and I am glad at least some good came out of this whole thing and that is that you were able to say what was really on your mind and behind all of this. Now perhaps we can help. I know that all of us sometimes sound differently than we intend or don't realize what we sound like when we are under stress. Is there anything we can do to help relieve your stress? -Phyllis Re: McD's Fries - Clarified Ingredient List > Phyllis, > > I too am sorry, but sorry about your post, I find that rude and > offensive. Guest guest
Hi. I am a moderator, and I did step in early this afternoon. I stated my beliefs, and I stand by them. At no time should anyone on this list be subjected to a feeling of guilt by another member due to their over stated opinions. I don't feel that I, or anyone else misinterpreted the intent of the post. And, Debbie, if you have had problems like this in the past, as you have stated, then perhaps it would be a good idea to reread your replies sometimes before hitting 'send', and ask yourself if it indeeds sounds offensive. Because everyone of your posts on this subject have appeared to be very hostile. This is a support group. Please keep that in mind.
