Guest guest
Janice, I know that would be me (knocked up again) if we didn't stop this baby train with some surgical intervention so I insisted and made the appointment. He later thanked me for doing it. We'll see how happy he is after Friday, when it is scheduled to happen. Guest guest
We closed off a door that went from the bathroom to the kid's bedroom; the bedroom side is finished now, but the bathroom side is still a chunk of sheet rock slapped in place and no mud, there fore no paint - and once I mud it to paint I'll have to patch all the other blemishes, caulk things, paint the whole room new and some how still maintain baths, laundry and general hygeine in there around all that while the kids try to " help " . Um, it's not done yet WHY??? Our bedroom thank God is done. We converted our attic to a room cuz this house only had 1 bedroom. The stair case leading up there is not done - but at least when I go through the door at the top I sleep in a completed room that is mine all mine! We spent the first 15 months here all crammed in one room. Funny I managed to get pregnant at all! LOL! s. s. ----- My bathroom is in terrible shape, too. Guest guest
My husband did two major renovations the last two times I was pregnant, and one just when I was returning to work, so that we were all sleeping in the living room in the winter on a floor that's over an unfinished basement. I told him if he plans any more changes to the house, I'll have another baby - that made him think twice! number23 wrote: We closed off a door that went from the bathroom to the kid's bedroom; the bedroom side is finished now, but the bathroom side is still a chunk of sheet rock slapped in place and no mud, there fore no paint - and once I mud it to paint I'll have to patch all the other blemishes, caulk things, paint the whole room new and some how still maintain baths, laundry and general hygeine in there around all that while the kids try to " help " . Guest guest
LOL! I suggested that we have a nice lunch out with the kids today, we have 3 kids, ages 8, 6 and 4. You know what that means: running around, " she's looking at me " , whining, can't decide what to eat, banging that fork on the table, and that's just the 4yo. PERFECT! By the time the salads were on the table, I leaned over and said " You know, you do have a Spring Break coming up and maybe you can take advantage of that time to get your V done. " He smiled and said " That's fine, can you make my appointment? " Hook, line and sinker. LOL!!! Guest guest
You guys are totally getting me worried, I'm 38 now and we want to have 1 more, probably start trying this fall after Sammy turns two, I'll be 39 then. I did have a harder time being pregnant w/ him than I did with Jenna - I'm getting worried that #3 will be a much harder go, not to mention the post-partum stuff, ugh. My goal is to get myself in better shape for the next 8-9 months so that my body will be better prepared for this next one. I also worry b/c I'll be the same age as my mom was when she had my sister who has Downs. Just make the > appointment for him like I did...it worked better that way. hehehe > > > > Carol > > Re: Re: DBB alternatives? > > > > > > I told him I wanted my tubes tied and he said he'd get > himself done instead...now following through is a different matter. > > s. > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I was on some prescription prenatals during the first part of the pregnancy. The only difference was the prescription ones I had helped with nausea, so I could keep the vitamins down. Other than that, I don't think there was much of a difference. - Michele 5/18/02 and Maddie 9/6/05 bcf wrote: No apologies necessary, I would be concerned anyway, regardless of this discussion. I have felt like my hormones are still quite out of whack since Sammy was born and am a bit concerned about how they will react to my getting knocked up again. I am hoping that by time september rolls around I will have gotten my act together (both physically and mentally!) and be ready. Not that it is any indicator, but I had a much easier pregnancy physically with Jenna than with Sammy, mostly due to their positions. I carried Sammy so low I felt like he was pushing my hips apart whenever I walked, so I'm kind of hoping for another girl when the time comes. As for the DS, I will definitely be a vitamin taking girl - my DH wants me to get my OB to give me the prescription for the prenatals asap. Does anyone know if there is a big difference between prescription prenatals and OTC ones? Guest guest
You might be onto something about the time between. I had mine at barely 20, barely 24 and 25. The first one was a very easy pregnancy and quick and easy delivery. The second was a painful pregnancy due to baby's position and two months of PTL, but delivery was simple a fast and recovery was nothing ... but a short 8 months later I was pregnant again. I was even still nursing at the time! I suffered depression, exhaustion and overall discomfort durring that pregnancy, and labor was a nightmare (doc's fault there) but the biggest thing was recovery time after delivery! It took 3x as long to recover as it had just 16 months before. Guest guest
" Taking Charge of Your Fertility " is an awesome book! But, while we did track cycles, etc. in order to GET pregnant, I'm not sure I would trust the method in order to NOT get pregnant. I'm curious, though (hope you don't mind me asking!)...are you Catholic? We are, and I know the Church officially prohibits ALL forms of " unnatural " birth control, including tied tubes and vaesectomies. Doesn't mean we all stick to it, of course! Does your church just prohibit female bc? Don't mean to be offensive...I've just never heard of this before!
