Guest guest
<< Yes I would, but I would need a Dr.'s professional opinion to go directly to Dr.Calqhoun. >> Hi I had emailed a DS surgeon to see if he knew any surgeons who have done the DS on any MS patients and he gave me a name and that dr. is in Canada. Dr. Simon Biron of the Quebec University Bariatric Group, headed by Dr Picard Marceau. Maybe you can send Dr. Marceau an email and tell him your situation. Hope this helps Tia
Guest guest
I do not need another barrier to try and hurtle. This my life > not theirs. And the wait will be 2 years maybe less according to Dr. > Calqhoun. Please someone just shoot me. Oh Penny, I feel for you and you shouldnt have to go thru this right now. Do you know of any MS patients who have had the DS or the RNY? I know of one on my other list who is RNY distal (the distal part being similar to the DS) and she has MS and is doing quite well. Would you like to get in touch with her? Hugs, Judie

Guest guest
2 YEARS????? That's beyond ridiculous. Call Dr. Calqhoun and tell him you're not waiting that long. alyssa Heard from Dr Calqhoun > He wants me to go to UBC MS Clinic and talk to Dr. Hooge re what this BPD > operation might do to my bowels as we have bowel problems with MS. I asked > to keep my consultation date pencilled in and I will try to see MS clinic > asap. Then reality hit and the tears and I know that it will take forever to > see DR Hooge. I hope he can just call Dr. Calqhoun or write a letter saying > it is okay. I do not need another barrier to try and hurtle. This my life > not theirs. And the wait will be 2 years maybe less according to Dr. > Calqhoun. Please someone just shoot me.
