Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been a member of this group for about a year , but I don't post very often and haven't since last year. My adopted son , Jude, from China was treated with the Ponseti method and is wearing the FAB 14/7 and will be for the next 2 years. He was treated at Shriner's in Tampa. I am writing because I want to send photos of Jude's feet and bio info to Dr Ponseti and I want his email address . I remember a nice lady once emailed me with his contact info from this yahoo group and also included suggestions on what angles to take photos and other good info. Does anyone know this info and could you please email me at alkelliher@...? I would really appreciate it very much . Thank you, Anita K. Guest guest
Hi Anita, Welcome back! Dr. Ponseti's information is on this website, under *contact Dr. Ponseti* as well as many other pages with information. The host for Dr. Ponseti's website has changed, so you may want to bookmark this url for future reference. <http://www.uihealthcare.com/topics/medicaldepartments/orthopaedics/clubfeet/ind\ ex.html>http://www.uihealthcare.com/topics/medicaldepartments/orthopaedics/clubf\ eet/index.html >Your plan to send pictures is a good one, and if you're in urgent >need for any reason you may want to mark your email *URGENT* so >Joyce can make sure Dr. Ponseti gets it as soon as possible. The >series of pictures you want to send is as such: 1)- 1 each - from front and back (directly) with him standing bearing weight. 2)- 1 each of both soles 3)- 1 each of both/each cubfoott with you using your palm to push her toes as far up toward her head as possible past " L " from the side (profile). This shows dorsiflexion. Also send any pictures of him wearing his FAB. These all will tell him enough to consult with you via email if that is what is needed. Let us know how we can help further, we'd love to hear more about your son's story if you have a moment. Lots of new parents here who, I'm sure will be able to take great comfort in hearing about (I'm assuming...) an older child receiving Ponseti treatment. I *think* I remember you (both yours and Jude's name sound so familiar but heck... I can't hardly remember my own kid's names these days...) but not enough to remember his story lol. I'm sure some of the other parents would also be interested in seeing his sweet little feet so if you like, come on over and join us at our clubfoot picture list where you can send your pics via email attachment. We'd be especially interested in seeing his face! Please note that you will be sent a file when you subscribe with information about posting to this list as well as a short survey that helps introduce you to us (and also weed out foot/cast lovin' wackos) so make sure you fill that out and send it back so you can be approved as soon as possible. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/CFPics Hope to see more of you here and there!
