We pestered our ortho-in August-he mentioned how loose david was(all

over-not just feet/hips/ankles/knees) and said eventually he will

out grow it. had just started crawling at that time(almost 1

year) so walking was not of concerned. Well, began pulling up

and cruising but seemed really wiggly wobbly. So my husband-nervous

that wasn't free standing or walking indepedently-scheduled an

ortho follow up(We werent supposed to go again until February). Well-

this time he observed david's movement/cruising/pulling up and on

the suggestion of our phys therapist-we asked him about getting a

possible foot orthotic for his shoe. Our doctor suggested this smo:

It really has made a wonderful difference. He does still do his

crazy ways of standing up-ie rolling up-and his feet sometimes are

turned out to 180 degrees-but because he is in the smo-we know its

his hips/knees causing this since his ankle is secured. This company

is local-I love the shop-but they sell them nationwide. is

much more sure of himself on his feet-I tend to give him barefoot

time in the evening and he gets mad because he can't move as well as

he does with his smo's on. Our PT just saw him(3 weeks since we have

had them) and she is impressed with his progress. Our ortho said

looking at david-he would be walking at 18 months-and that we would

think these braces are " miraculous " -well-we are 2 months away and I

do believe the braces to be miraculous!!
