Guest guest
Hi there, I second the suggestion of Baby Gap or Gap Kids for pants with the snaps. The baby gap jeans are fantastic because not only do they have snaps in sizes up to 24 months, they have a line of jeans with a soft and comfy lining in them! I wish they sold adult jeans like that! But no cute little onesie outfits for my boy! Even if pants don't have the snaps in them I've found that if they're just a little bit baggy I can change diapers just fine. Of course, to change the clothes I'd have to take the shoes off, but I found that a 2 or 3 minute break is nice every once in a while and I can check to make sure there weren't any sores discomfort. As far as pajamas go, I've found that just buying 2-piece pajamas worked for me. The ones that don't have the feet in them. That way, when I change a diaper, I just pull the pants down to the ankles (leaving the bar and shoes on), and change the diaper and pull the pants back up. Land's End has some warm and comfortable two piece pj sets. I bought 2 and always have a clean pair while the other is in the wash. Hope this is helpful! Guest guest
I just bought a snap machine at a fabric store. I haven't used it yet, but I plan on undoing the hem on pants or cute outfits and adding snaps so Maddie can wear them. I'll let you know how it goes. Guest guest
Baby Gap has some, but we've found more of a selections with Cater's (runs small) that goes up to 24 months. Gymboree has sizes up to at least 3T that have snaps up both legs. and Rich wrote: We are also getting to that point. Someone had told me baby gap had snaps on the bigger sizes. Also I found some at Babies r Us recently. If I find more I'll post again. and Logan 23/7 2 mo Clothing for Bar/Dr. Ponseti Hello Everyone, We are newcomers to the site, but not to clubfeet. I have a 7-month- old daughter (bilateral atypical) who was treated unsuccessfully by a Ponseti certified doctor, and has been seeing Dr. Ponseti since the beginning of November. He is a WONDRFUL doctor, and I encourage anyone who's on the fence about whether or not they should see him, to definitely do so! I wish it had dawned on us to see him months before we did. My daughter has been in the bar for a little over a month, and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on clothing for the FAB over 12 months of age (she's quite the chunker). It's becoming increasingly harder to find clothes that snap on the inside of the legs, just curious if anyone has and advice on brands or stores that may carry this type of clothing. We'd also like to thank you all very much for diligently spreading the word of Dr. Ponseti and his method via the internet!
Guest guest
Sears has an entire line of clothing that has snaps on the pants, and footless sleep and plays. They are cheap and cute too. The pants have snaps all they way up to the 24 month sizes. Old Navy also has plenty of clothing with snaps, as does Baby Gap. I've also see lots of the sleep and plays without feet and snaps up both legs at Babies R Us. JC Penney has them too. Everything I've seen lately has been on clearace too, so it would be a great time to look! > > Hello Everyone, > > We are newcomers to the site, but not to clubfeet. Guest guest
Welcome to the board! Not sure if this will help you, but it might help others reading this as well. I was in JCPenney this weekend and they had the Okey Dokey brand fleece rompers/sleepers (can be worn as a playsuit or pajamas) on *super* clearance, over 70% off. I used these a lot for (way back when). & (3-16-00, left clubfoot)
Guest guest
, you might still be able to use the clothing with the cuffs if you can take the shoes off the bar. I did the same thing when Sammy was in the bar 23/7 - bought these cute little one piece outfits with snaps not realizing they didn't snap all the way open. I was able to take his shoes off the bar and slip his foot, still in the shoe, through the hole in the cuff, and then put the bar back on. I just don't know how easy it is to take the shoes on and off the bar with the P/M's, anyone have any input on this one? I also use the footed pj's as ee suggested, I just cut a big hole in the bottom of the footed part. The footie pj's are just so cheap from Walmart/Target, I guess I figured it would be easier than searching for ones that snap all the way down.
