Guest guest
Hi Everyone My 15 year old daughter, Noelle, wrote this poem in a class. Not only do I think she has talent for poetry writing (this is not her first effort), but I think this is an excellent voice of what she and her peers and also many of us " grown-ups " are thinking and feeling at this time. I wanted to share it with you. Deanna Hey all, I wrote this in english class, the teach had said for us to write a poem or a short explanation of how we feel about what happened, i chose a poem, tell me what you think........ ************************************************************************ > > A time to act together > > A reason for us not to fight > > A time to help each other > > A reason to make it right > > > > It may seem to be falling apart > > but the Nation will keep it whole > > With the country in our heart > > But with flashes of terror in our soul > > > > Only God is true and upholding > > Just watching and waiting > > While the worlds conflicts are unfolding > > Such as the violence and the hating > > > > What can we do? > > We just don't know, > > If only we knew, > > It would be different though > > > > We will get through this all > > Just wait and see > > America will not fall > > That will not be > > > > To those of you searching > > May you be fireman, Military, or police > > Do what u must do, and be brave > > But come home to us > > > > To those of you who aren't waiting > > For family or a friend > > Then reach out to those who are > > Please give your hand to lend > > > > To those of you who are waiting > > Don't give up hope > > They are looking as hard as they can > > and we are here to help you cope > > > > To those of you who have lost someone > > All we can do is pray, > > Hold our loved ones tight > > Nothing left to say > > Just cowardly ashes, left in the night. > > > > ~Noelle~ > > > > _________________________________________________________________ > > Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp > > > > >
