,

is in her healing casts now, but it won't be long now before

they come off! As much as I heard and believed how wonderful Dr.

Ponseti is, unless you experience it, it is really hard to

understand.

I have sent pictures of her with Dr. P to her Daddy. He was giddy,

too, and likened it to meeting a celebrity. (He IS a celebrity,

isn't

he?!) I am so thankful that he will get to come home soon for a few

days. Two days after he comes home, her healing casts come off! That

will be such a wonderful gift for both of us, and I'm sure that it

will seem more real to him when he sees her beautiful " new " feet.

The

drive was long, and we feel a little jet-lagged, but she is doing

fine! We both slept until noon yeterday in our own beds, and until

9:00 today. She is sleeping through the night just fine with these

casts - not something that she ever did with anyone else's casts!

As much as I want to take back to that doctor at Nemours,

(just

to politely say , " Nah-nah,nee boo-boo! " )I know that it would fall on

deaf ears. I may send her pictures...I know that if she made smart-

alleck comments, I wouldn't be able to hold my tongue! We are not

staying at Nemours, but instead will fly to Iowa for all of her

follow

ups. Now that we have definate dates for appointments, flights

aren't

nearly as expensive. Our first follow up is April 17. My husband

will

not be home for good yet by then, so I think my Dad is looking to

come

with me ( is his Princess, and he wants to meet Dr. Ponseti,

too!)

I will definately post pics to the CFPics board when the casts come

off on in a couple of weeks! Thank you so much for all of your help,

. You and Kori are really supermoms, you know? Without all of

your support and wealth of knowledge, we may not have had that push

we

needed to get up to Iowa.

Thanks again,

( 2/1/05 bcf)
