Guest guest
Did you talk to Dr. Quanbeck's nurse? They are usually pretty good about getting people in more quickly, if you wanted to try. Otherwise, I think the person in scheduling to talk to is Marcell: I'm not sure if I spelled her name correctly or not, but she's helped me in the past. Expect to get a little resistance from ATD with regards to the s. I discussed it with them, and depending on who you talk to, you could hear that they aren't necessary. We are using the Markells and aren't having problems with them, but at first they didn't pan out so well. When I brought up the topic of the s, the woman in ATD said they weren't any better. I don't think she'd ever seen them....and this was a year ago. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did on that front! Do you know who you are seeing in ATD? I'm assuming you go to Gillette and not a satellite office...probably should have asked! Hope all goes well for you! Guest guest
No, we didn't talk to DR. Q's nurse just the scheduling office. The first time it was Darrius Picking at Gillette and then last time . I don't know who it'll be today. I've written Dr. to find out more information. Personally, I don't care which shoes as long as they stay on her feet, but I also want to discuss the ease of putting on the shoes since dcp will need to put them on also. I'm very anal about getting her heel down, but I just don't think a dcp will worry as much, kwim? Yes, we always go all the way into Gillette. It's a haul, but no other place is all that close either. I have to go by peapods anyway in St. . Thanks! Guest guest
I think the one I had problems with in ATD was Kathy. Not sure though...we haven't had her since! Gent is pretty good; we've seen him the last several times we've been in. Darrius is nice too. We did things a bit differently with regards to the shoes and daycare. I showed daycare how to put the shoes on, just in case they came off during the day, but we always had Aleksander have his 1 hour out at home in the evenings, and as the hours out of the shoes went up, we had daycare take the shoes off earlier in the day. They were great about taking them off at the same time every day, and writing down the time they came off. We never had daycare take them off and put them on again. That way I never had to worry about it, and it was tons easier on them too. Aleksander also naps without the shoes on. It is just easier on us all to have the shoe wearing in one lump rather than messing around with the shoes several times a day. He is sleeping 12 hours a night now though, so we get the entire time in one chunk. If you are ever in a bind and need to get in to see Dr. Q quickly, call Marcell. She's fantastic, and got us in the same day once when we were having problems with the casts. > > > > > > After much issue with Kiera's shoes and her heel slipping, I > sent > > some > > > pictures to Dr. Ponseti with some questions. Guest guest
My son is in the shoes. They are wonderful and very easy to put on/off. > > After much issue with Kiera's shoes and her heel slipping, I sent some > pictures to Dr. Ponseti with some questions.
