A tummy tuck is where they remove the pannus AND the excess skin on the upper tummy under the breast. In most cases insurance will only pay for panniculectomies. Insurance paid for my panniculectomy and now I need to do the upper part and pay for it myself. But half is better than nothing. Guest guest
> A panni they just remove the extra skin. A tummy tuck they also tighten the > muscles.>>>> I thought the same thing too, . I asked Dr Welker if he did just the panni or the TT or both and he said he considered them to be one and the same and that he could not consider doing one without the other and that the TT was the final cosmetic touch.
