Guest guest
the physical therapist in my local surgeon's office asked about my back and knee pain. she said that after losing wt. some folks actually start having more pain! because their body balance is changing. they need to learn how to position their body for proper walking and sitting and standing at their new body wt. i never would have thought that would happen. lucky for me, my back and knee pain is almost non-existent now that i have lost 50+ lbs. the spirometer i used was the kind you inhale with. that helps to inflate the lungs, and clear them of mucous after the anesthetic for surgery. the balloons help because you have to take big deep breaths in before you try to inflate the balloon, and then sustain the effort of exhaling while blowing. helps strengthen the diaphragm for better breathing all around. mary y. st.louis > Hi all, thanks for chilling on the hate mail. > > First, I don't understand how we are supposed to use the balloons to get us > to inhale more ... ?
