Guest guest
Shriley, First of all, I must point out that I am not in the medical field. However, those symptoms seem extremely familiar to me. I had a ratcheting feeling in my knee, and sometimes it would just lock up in any particular position. I was told that it was because I had no cartilege, meniscus on one side, and I was rubbing bone on bone. I did gedt 3 injections of synvisc which really helped the situation a lot. (Note: cortisone injections may numb you for a bit, but will eventually make the knee worse by breaking down the meniscus.) Unfortunately, I let my knee go too long in bad shape and just had total knee replacement. Try to keep your knees permanently. Building up your quads will do wonders in terms of knee stability. Also, my doc said glucosamine chondriton could possibly help. Best to you, Theresa Pre Op Oct 30? > > I also have severe knee pain when I stand or walk, and I know I > have arthritis and bone spurs. Guest guest
-- Judy, yes I guess it does feel like that and it is scarey when it happens because sometimes it feels like it might stay that way one of these times. Did yours get any better after your weightloss? My bone spurs are in my knees too.
