We were able to get into see Dr. Q today and have her shoes fixed. Dr.

Q thought her foot looked really good and was even more flexible than

before. I spoke with her about Dr. Ponseti suggesting the

shoes. She though that Kiera does have a bit of a short stumpy foot.

But she would either need to be recasted or be in the Markell's until

the 's arrived if we went that route. We will see how she does

with the changes to the Markell's. If not tolerated and/or her foot

doesn't stay in, we will order the 's. We took castings of

both her feet so we don't have to go back if we decide to go that

route.

Darius put new foam into the back of the heels and that does seem to

be helping. He also put a couple of new holes in the front of the

strap so I can put the clasp in there when changing her. Both Dr. Q

and Darius thought that was a fabulous idea.

So far she is tolerating the shoes okay. We will see what the night

brings. I haven't had to reset her foot at all and am able to get her

heel down.

We also discussed about day care and the issue of them putting her

back into the shoes. She fine with whenever we want to do the number

of hours in the shoes. We won't be out of the full time wear for

awhile. Then we'll do like and chose to leave her in until X

time and have them just remove the shoes.

So I was pleased with the care we received and the attentiveness of

everyone.

Thanks everyone!
