I too am curious about this. My son will be starting his second band in a couple of weeks and we have seen great improvement so far and are going with the second one to see if we can get a little more correction. Our therapist says we should use the band for the full 16 weeks, but I am due with my third baby the end of August and am anxious to be done by then. I guess I plan to see how much correction we get until then.

Just curious...does/has anyone stopped banding their child before the band is outgrown or optimal measurements are achieved?, mom to Luke, 5.1 months, severe brachy, mild left plagio1 week 5 days in STARbandNew York

Yeah, I would just wait and see where you are at that point. I do know if a

parent is ready to be done, you can just be done. No one can force you to

continue with treatment (nor should they try) if you're happy with the results

you have. My son wore 2 bands for the full 16 weeks each, and I was just ready

to be done those last 2-3 weeks. He was right at his 2nd birthday and I was a

lot more lax about 23 hour wear because I figured it wasn't doing that much

anyway. But I didn't want to stop all together just in case. Had he been a few

months younger, I would have continued to be diligent to the very end.
