Thanks everyone for the great suggestions - I've been trying to get him into

his crib, but since I am the only one doing any sleep training in this house

(ahem), it's been hard for me and since he still nurses through the night, I

often end up with him in our bed. In addition to that, he is extraordinarily

attached to me (more than my girls were even, and they were nursing demons) and

he wants to just be near me - he will even gripe if I turn over with my back to

him until I turn back over and nuzzle him into me - ha! he's a boob man,

already! I'll look for the pattern for the sleep sack because I do sew and

will even ponder just making some sort of cover to go over the shoes and the

bar in case he is too warm. My fondest wish is for him to be in his crib, so

maybe the suggestion by to put the crib on my side of the bed with one

side off of it is a good one. It'll entail some rearranging, but definitely

doable! Oh, and Hayden is just over 7 months, by the

way.

I am finding that I am contorted into all sorts of bizarre positions every

night and am suffering heavily for it. You should see it when the 3 year old

joins us, too - all in a queen sized bed! Thank God our oldest is 14 and

wouldn't want to be caught dead in our bed! Whew!

Just to jump in here. If you sew, I can get you a pattern for a decent sleep

sack. Then you can make it out of whatever stretchy material you like. There

is a pattern in the file section of the ns4cf list, size 2T. You can print it

off, or read the instructions to see if you can do it. I have other sizes

too.

The pattern for the sleep sack posted here is fantastic, and my mom

who does all of my sewing, said it is very easy to figure out.

We buy flannel, and then use jersey material or ribbing for the

gusset. Works really well!
