Guest guest
Hope I am not too late to add a bit here. Kori has given you excellent advice. You have got to get those shoes tight and stop the slipping. To heal the blister I highly recomend this stuff. Lanisoh lanolin cream. Specially if that blister has not popped, it will melt it away. Blisters don't heal under pressure too quickly, so Kori suggestion to cut the heels out is good. Some like corn pads with the holes in the center or mole skin. My personal favorite is a nice slick bandaid. You cut your own little hole out of the center pad-make sure you leave a bit of pad around all edges. Then place the hole over the blister. (it is cheap, can be changed often, and is not as thick as the corn pads) Lanisoh on the blister several times a day. We always soaked Tenny's feet good during bath time. Our blisters weren't heel blisters, but this cleared them up, even in the shoes. What works for one may not work for the next, but give it a shot. Once we figured out where the slipping was and healed the blisters, there have been no problems with the Markells. Good luck, Mom to Tenny rt. cf. 7/15/04 FAB 14/7 Blisters Keegan had his last cast removed on January 24th, and had the Markell shoes with the DBB put on the very next day. I noticed tonight while I was bathing him that he has a blister on his right heel. It's 11pm here, so it's too late to call our doctor. We called the health line, and they don't know very much about clubfoot, so they weren't much help. All she said was to put a sterile bandage over it. He's been a lot more cranky lately, and it's clear to me now as to why. I don't want to put the shoes back on, and so far from what I have read, I shouldn't anyways. Not until it's healed. So what am I supposed to do? Just let his poor little feet rest overnight, and then call our doctor tomorrow? Gah. If it's not one thing, it's something else with us. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. - Amber
