I had open surgery and my incision is from mid-chest to belly button. It looks fine and I have had no infection or hernia, but it is still sore. I believe it is the muscles around the area. It isn't really painful, but more annoying. I do know large incisions can take a long time to heal, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this and how long it took to heal.
