Guest guest
I see posts about sadness people are feeling about the recent events (attacks) on the US. They say they haven't lost anyone they personally know. I understand those feelings and they are normal, I think. After all, we have lost a way of life. Things will never be the same again. We are not even sure what changes we are in for. I just can't help but think of the magnitude of how this affected our country and wonder if the hijackers really knew ALL this was going to happen as a result of their attacks on the WTC and Pentagon? Thousands laid off in one fell swoop - and that affects others down the line as money isn't spent and items purchased. The stock market taking the biggest beating since the depression. And now our young men going off to war. But it is incredible to me just how MUCH devistation those people did to our lives, across the board. What happened to the buildings and the thousands of people was terrible enough! But what is happening to our economy on top of it is downright scarey. oh - by the way, do you agree with the remarks made (by congresspeople, I think) about the obscenity of the airline CEOs earning 17 million up to 35 million A YEAR while laying off thousands and then asking for government relief but continuing to earn such obscene amounts? If this country wants to get its act back again, this will stop. We all know it happens at the insurance level, too. What gives? Why does the " little guy " get screwed time and again while those guys at the top earn more in one year than they could pay all the people being laid off?????? Is there anything we can do about this? I haven't been an active advocate about anything for years because I really got so I decided my one opinion doesn't matter. But I am ready to join forces again to make changes for the good. Carole
