Not sure how long to leave helmet off (Other than to bring down the fever). My

son has only had his helmet 5 days. He has not minded it, other than the on/off

part which he hates. He has a cold and teething. Today he had a fever of 99.9,

but mainly he was fussy every minute of being in the helmet. I'm not sure if

the fever is from the cold or teeting and if the pain is from a stuffy head that

feels better without the helmet pressure.

Anyone with advice ideas about how long leave off or have on. I really want

him to be wearing it 23 hours, but not be getting him averse to the helmet

becasue he is so miserable.

I would call your orthotist. We were told to take it off for a fever but not

how long! We have never had to take it off for a fever. Our son has had a few

colds since we have had it and we have left it on.
