Guest guest
Dear Friends, We have three sons - our oldest is 4 and has Pragmatic Language Disorder (on the Autism spectrum). Our middle guy is 2 3/4 and has PDD-NOS. Our youngest son is 14 months and was showing autistic tendencies at 9 months, but we stopped his vaccines, put him on the GFCF diet (soy too) and he completely turned around. He has since been an extremely verbal, social baby, seeking interaction with others. Two weeks ago we traveled to my in-laws out of state. While at their house our 14 month old hardly interacted with anyone and was crabby the whole time. When we got home he improved but still wasn't himself. This past week we travelled back there again and he definitely regressed - and didn't improve when we got home. At our Labor Day gathering today no one could get him to look them in the eye; he seems to be in a daze and has lost about 3/4 of his language. We are absolutely in a panic!!!!!!!!! We know that while there he had a hot dog and fries that probably weren't GFCF. Would this have suddenly made him autistic? Could it have been something environmental there? Has anyone else heard of such a drastic regression that you can almost pinpoint it to the day? Any advice? We started Nystatin three days ago and are now giving him supplements. Any help would be appreciated.
