I had to leave my job back in July it was making me sick night shift and working

in a building producing live virus vaccines.I admit this definetly was not a

bright ideal. I agreed to try another job but now I see it is in a mirobiology

lab and though I am meticously cautious in my work and have never shown any

signs of microbes on my uniform or gloves I am scared to death that the people I

work with will not be as careful. I guess I know this is not the right job for

me but I just needed to see it written down. It is hard to keep passing up jobs

in this economy.Thanks for listening

Such bravery! I know the feeling of having to be meticulous. I believe I became like the characteer of the TV series "Monk", who is compulsive! Sad but true--but can't be too easy going! My husband has had "mersa" and dealt with colostridium difficile (C-Diff), infection with his colostomy, or being septic-each time he is hospitalized. My hands/fingers are so cracked-up, from the constant washing of hands. Keep on trucken!!

There is a huge difference between paranoia and common sense. With having to live on immunosuppresive meds (even prednisone) we have to be even more careful.

BTW, the body lotion by Norwegian Formula is excellant for those hands/fingers cracking. To top it off, it helps settle the small nerve fiber neuropathy-- where your skin hurts with just the air touching it.

Take care,

When I left my job as a nurse, I tried teaching, your right it is hard to pass on jobs, but our health should be a priority, I now do some Home health educating, and am not around sick people, but mostly for me, is my legs continue to become weaker and weaker, and

it is really difficult getting around on my own. I know do my own home business and most the time the customers come to me, or myself or my son does deliveries, this has been working for me for the past 6 years.  I feel I have found my niche, and it isn't in the medical

flied.  I hope you can find yours too.  working nights is by far the worst, I had to give that up the 2nd year into this disease. Marla
