Guest guest
Hi all I am a chronic lurker, and am just coming to the realization that my surgery is just over 5 weeks away. I am finding it increasingly difficult to concentrate on anything else but my upcoming surgery. Need a new hobby to fill in my waking hours - other than weighing and obseesing about surgery!!! LOL My surgeon Dr Ritchie (BPD/DS - in Sydney Australia) wants his patients to give 3 units of their own blood if it is needed. I have extreme difficulty giving blood - but really want to have this done, does anyone have any hints on what to do prior to donation to help with finding veins/giving blood. I was told not to donate to the Red Cross as it was just too difficult for me in the past.
