Guest guest
Oh , I'm so sorry about Jr. I hope things go well for you - please let us know. This brings up a question. I feel so naive... but I'm not sure what a hernia is. People talk about a bump pressing outward from the skin and I don't get it. Is it a boil? Does it hurt? Does it bleed? I remember reading that it's kind of a good thing to get because then the panni will probably be covered if the hernia is repaired at the same time but does a hernia pop out anywhere else like the batwings or sagging breasts? That would be cool to get those fixed too! Thanks, dee --- wrote: > Some of you may remember that I posted about my > hernia from > hell, " Jr. " Two weeks ago I had a CT scan and the > results are not > that great. It can fill with food, fluid or blood and become strangulated. It can be very painful and often dangerous. Mine is the size of Texas but is open enough to avoid strangulation. I have large hard lumps all along my ribs and upper stomach. This is where my pain comes from. Some people get small ones. Mine is from surgery. It does not bleed outside the skin like a cut. Check out www.herniainfo.com for more information. Hugs, Angels hover ever near,

Guest guest
It can get very hard without pain or with pain. But it usually does get hard. > how do you know if you think you got a hernia, does it get hard and painful? > > >
Guest guest
Not necessarily. It's most painful if I try to bend or stoop. Sneezing, coughing, etc really hurt. I try not to stand up too fast (just like when you're a fresh post-op.) You know how the doctor will listen to your stomach and abdomen with a stethoscope? He's trying to hear bowel sounds, making sure everything is moving properly. Well, I can hear them just find without a stethoscope!! Sometimes one of my cats will be sitting next to me and hear the noises and just look at my stomach, like he's wondering what in the world made that noise. It's like your stomach growling, only much louder, and it's after I eat. > So as i understand you feel it more when you eat and drink? linda > > >

Oh , You described my tummy to a tee. People comment they can hear it loud and clear across the room. My grandson (10 months) just looks at it and laughs. Get more from the Web.
