Guest guest
: Glad to see your WT loss is progressing so well. As far as driving into NYC, be aware that the police are spot checking for ID. You and your husband should each have a driver's license or other form of ID readily available as well as the car registration. News reports consistantly indicate at least a 1 hour delay in getting across bridges or through the tunnels into Manhattan. Some crossings are " car pool only " meaning that more than 1 person has to be in the car, but this won't be a problem for you. At other times, only certain lanes of the bridges are open. I would suggest that you add at least one hour to your travel time, and tune in 1010 WINS on the radio when you can. This is an all news station, which gives traffic reports about every 20 min. Good luck! I'm finally scheduled for Oct. 3 with Dr. Pomp. Oct. 3rd is getting closer! > Has anyone driven to Mt. Sinai from out of town recently and encountered any travel delays? > > I have my 3 month check up with Dr. Pomp on Tuesday at 3:30pm. Normally, we allow about 2 1/2 hours to get in from Philly via the Washington Bridge (most of that time is spent trying to get across it...!) I just wondered if we need to allow any extra time in light of the after effects of the WTC disaster? (Uh, oh - there's that NY paranoia setting in again! Ya think I'da learned by now....) Anyway, I'd appreciate any insight from the enlightened! <g> > > from NE Philly, age 39 > Open DS 6/27/01 - Dr. Pomp/Mt.
