Guest guest
In the past two days, two of my posts did not come up. Is there a reason for that or could it be something I didn't do right? I know I did press the send " button " , b/c I went back and looked at it, before keep on going with other posts. So what could have happened? Well, one post was not a big deal, but the one from today was. So I'll re-post in the hope that this will go through this time. I had a problem with today and an infringment. He got a hold (why did I turn my back on him?) of some pretzels that his bro and sis were eating, and ate those instead of his potato chips (and talk about cravings, huh?). When I noticed I cleaned his mouth with my fingers and got the most I could, out; then I gave him 1/2 a pepcid AC, just to be on the safe side, and let him finish his snack.-I don't know how much he actually did eat- We went out to the store, and half an hour later he started looking pale, and seemed to me like he was running a fever b/c he was pretty warm. Also he looked very sad and sleepy, and absent, tho the place was packed, and normally he would have made lots of noise. So I started worrying, and when I got home I took his temperature: he had a normal temp., so I didn't worry anymore. He was a little cranky at dinner and all he wanted was bacon, and barely touched his pancakes (while last week I had to take away the plate so many he was eating!). He fell asleep at the usual time, and I had to put the melatonin in his mouth after he fell asleep b/c I had forgotten, and hoped he wouldn't choke on it (which he didn't) ) I hope he didn't eat too many pretzels, b/c I wouldn't really know what to do this time if I'd have to go all week with him tantruming and his bro and sis along with him, now that dh is gone for a week. But, after all this rambling-sorry I tend to be prolix(sp?)-I had wondered what kind of med is ok for fever. I have both Tylenol and Motrin in the suspension form. He's taken Motrin many times, a lot easier than Tylenol; but which one is safe? And if neither, what to give for fever? Also, what is the dosage? Last time he needed it was a long time ago and he's grown since. Now he's 40lb and 4.8 yo. PS. Yes I do give enzymes at the meals: on Peptizyde and one ZymePrime, three times a day. Thanks in advance for advices. Cristina-WA Proud mom to 4.8 yo ASD, & @ yo NT twins.
