Guest guest
Dear Listmates, I would like to tell you about some personal good news in these tragic days. Perhaps some of you remember my post a couple of days/weeks ago under the subject *Desperately needing advice*. First of all, I would like to thank everybody who responded, either with advice or just with some kind words of sympathy. I received quite a lot of useful thoughts and information. I was not able to process them all yet, but I studied and will study every letter very thoroughly. In the meantime, I stopped some multivitamins that Lawrence used to take in this bad period, containing too much niacin and similar cholinergic /?/ compounds. A few days later I began giving him DMG, to speed him up. His condition was getting better day by day, especially his movement problems improved quickly. He is still sleeping too much, often more than 12 hours a day, but otherwise his behavior is similar to that before the death of his grandfather. Unfortunately, I cannot take him to school yet because of his sleeping habits, only on a few days when he goes to a very good one-to-one complex theraphy. There is only one medicine he is taking now, an SSRI, which he has been taking for 6 years. I guess that there may be a connection between this medicine and too much melatonin being produced in his system. Maybe I am wrong. I shall try to reduce this drug in the near future. /I do not want to change too much factors at a time./ Perhaps there is a connection with his adolescence beginning to take place, too; and/or the grieving process. Or the opiates leaving his system because of the GFCF diet. I can only guess. But I am quite happy with his process. If anybody has any further idea on this sleeping abnormality, please inform me. I can only hope that it is not some severe disease... narcolepsy? :-( So thanks again for everybody,s supporting posts.
