Okay, Nan.

>>Let me get this straight. You have been approved by BC of Calif.

Prudent Buyer PPO

>>for a DS. Is that right? If so, you seem to be the only one we've heard

of. Folks have posted >>that they've been approved for RNY but I haven't

seen *anyone* that's said they're getting a >>DS approved.

Yep. Reconfirmed it just last week because you guys were making me

nervous. There are a couple of us on Dr. Anthone's list who were covered

completely by BC of CA PPO. Dr. Anthone is a network provider for BC and

he apparently just has the " touch " to get them to say " yeah, okay, fine,

do it, here is our paltry payment on your way too high bill " . (He bills a

whole bunch, they pay like $2000 of it-- that is a gestimate, I don't

want to hunt out the papers)

Please, please. Explain what happened and when

I self referred to Dr. Anthone , had my first appointment in April, had

the pre-DS Panni in mid-June and am waiting for a DS date now-- have been

promised a date in October, but I think they have to invent an extra day

in the month to fit me in. We'll see. Both procedures were approved

prior to the first surgery-- but my conversation with my case manager

indicates I am still approved and the policy has not changed. So, I

still say it has to do with the language of the Policy your employer

buys. No hassle, no problems, except getting a dang date for the DS.
